What if Vince McMahon didn't buy WCW? The idea here is that AOL-Time Warner couldn't find a buyer and decided to end WCW once and for all. Vince pursues the WCW library down the road for next to nothing, but isn't willing to buy out WCW contracts (unless he sees potential).

I've always believed that the Attitude Era ended at Wrestlemania 17 just at the height of its popularity. Some say it ended two years later, but I disagree with this assessment. The purchase of WCW and thereafter ECW actually hurt the WWF in the long-run. It hurt stars in the back and ruined relationships with the top-tier like Steve Austin. Plus Vince's attention to the XFL didn't help in 2001. 2002 saw the beginning of a WWF decline. In 2003 the company was forced to split the brand and for me, wrestling was never the same again (my dad and I just agreed with this over the phone this morning and he was a long-time fan from 76 onward and still watches). Why break what works?

Looking back at 2001 there were many problems that I couldn't get over. For example, I don't think we got the right closure to the "who ran over Stone Cold" storyline from Rikishi to HHH that supposedly ends at No Way Out. The way Austin went heel didn't fit his character and he got annoying down the road, plus joining with the Alliance was stupid.

Will it still be Austin vs. The Rock at Wrestlemania 17? Will Austin even go heel? Without WCW, there is no Invasion, though will ECW be around?

To kick things off the story begins with a quick recap of a modified Royal Rumble...

Royal Rumble 2001

January 21st, 2001

New Orleans Arena, Louisiana

The Dudley Boyz def. Edge and Christian (c) via pinfall with the 3D to become the NEW WWF Tag Team Champions

Chris Jericho def. Chris Benoit (c) in a Ladder match to become the

Triple H (with Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley) def. Kurt Angle (c) (with Trish Stratus) via pinfall to become the NEW WWF Champion. Austin interfered in the match as it originally happened (since Triple H cost him the title a few weeks ago on RAW), but the difference here is that instead of screwing Triple H, he stuns Angle to give Triple H the Pedigree finisher and the win. Austin looks at Triple H who is stunned and walks away.

30-MAN ROYAL RUMBLE:

The battle royal goes at it originally did with some differences. As No. 27th entrant was to make his way out, Vince McMahon in the back is seen on camera admonishing Steve Austin for interfering in the WWF title match earlier. Austin and McMahon get into a fist fight! Austin doesn't get a chance to enter the Rumble as WWF Officials were too busy trying to break them up.

Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler welcome everyone to the show and announce that the Royal Rumble winner the Rock, will be joining with the new IC Champion Chris Jericho to take on Chris Benoit and the returning Big Show in a tag team match.

Out comes Triple H with the WWF Championship belt and Stephanie McMahon.

HHH: You know tonight was supposed to be a night of celebration as I won the WWF Championship from Kurt Angle last night. Heck I should be celebrating no matter how you win the title, as long as you win it, that's all that matters. But something doesn't feel right. You see a few weeks ago I screwed Stone Cold Steve Austin from the title on RAW, but last night...I want to know why Austin, why did you do what you did? I'd never admit it, but I am doing it now. Why would you want to help me? I want answers Austin, because I'm the one who was responsible for running you over, I was the one that kept you out of the WWF for over a year! But then again, I keep thinking, maybe this is what you want. You want me to have the WWF title, the most precious thing in the world to me (Stephanie starts to talk to Triple H in a jealous way and he ignores her)...just as I ruined your career, you want to take the WWF title away from me that's what this is about isn't it Austin? Well Austin I got news for you, there is no way in hell I'm going to give it up.

Kurt Angle makes his way out on the RAW platform. He says that he was the one who was screwed and wants a title shot against Triple H tonight on RAW.

HHH: You want a title shot Kurt Angle? You got it!

Backstage a limo pulls up and Vince McMahon with bandages over his forehead comes out angrily. Vince is told that HHH and Kurt Angle are going to have a match tonight. Vince says "You know what I don't care about that right now".

After a commercial break Michael Cole is talking to Vince. Vince says he's so sick of Stone Cold Steve Austin that he's had enough and it's time for a change. Cole asks him what he means? Vince says it's none of his business.

In the back Stephanie is complaining to Triple H that she shouldn't be facing Kurt Angle tonight and that it's a big mistake. HHH says that he doesn't care because he can beat Angle on his own. Steph reminds him that Austin was the one who helped him and that she'll go to her dad.

After a commercial break, Stephanie complains to Vince about the match tonight. Vince says that Angle deserves a title shot after what Austin did. He says he'll let them go at it tonight. Stephanie says she's "daddy's little girl" and pleads with Vince. Vince says he doesn't care about anything right now except Stone Cold Steve Austin.

Vince strangely grabs a "Steveweiser" and starts to drink it like Austin would. Stephanie looks confused and leaves.

Meanwhile Michael Cole starts to interview with the Rock who says that it doesn't matter if it's Triple H or Angle, that at Wrestlemania he'll lay the smackdown on anyone to win back the WWF title.

The Rock & Chris Jerico (c) def. Chris Benoit & The Big Show via pinfall after the Rock lands the Rock Bottom on Benoit for the win. Benoit attacks the Rock after the match, but Big Show who wanted a piece of the Rock chokeslams his own partner! Thereafter Big Show lands a big chokeslam on the Rock. Jericho tries to help but Big Show chokeslams him too.

Trish Stratus is in the back trying to comfort Vince. Vince says in a redneck-like tone "I don't give a rats a$$ about you" and shoves her aside. Trish wonders what's going on with him. Vince apologises and says that maybe he needs to "blow off some steam". She says she'll do anything to make him happy as she starts to "undress", Vince grabs another "Steveweiser" and hands another can to Trish and says to drink up as Vince smashes the cans together and starts to drink. Trish doesn't drink till Vince looks into her eyes and shouts "DRINK!".

In the back Stone Cold Steve Austin makes his way to the arena pissed off. After a commercial break glass shatters and Austin is out and on the mic to a huge pop.

Austin: Triple H wants answers well he ain't gonna get 'em tonight because I'm out here as I was screwed at the Rumble. Vince McMahon you big son of a bit#h, why don't you come out right here now and step in the ring and let's settle this once and for all. Because you see I never got a chance to enter the Royal Rumble so how about it you jacka$$?

Vince (w/Trish): (is on the RAW platform and says it nicely) You know something Austin...

you want a title shot you got it (Austin looks confused). In fact tonight you're the special guest referee for the RAW main event between Triple H & Kurt Angle!

Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler go absolutely ballistic hearing about this. Triple H is going nuts with Stephanie in the back saying that she's the reason why Austin is referee. After a commercial break they show off WWF New York with K-Kwick and Too Cool entertaining some fans.

Austin is in a referee outfit. He mostly ignores the match as Triple H finally gets in the pedigree. Austin is on the outside drinking beers as Triple H gets annoyed. Later on Angle gets in the Angle Slam and Austin is in a corner asking for some beers. Angle grabs Austin from behind and tells him to do his job. Austin STUNS Angle! He throws Triple H's body over Angle and does a superfast pin for the win.

Austin grabs the WWF title and looks at it. He tosses it to Triple H and leaves as Triple H looks in shock and RAW goes off air.

Smackdown!

January 25th, 2001

Host: Michael Cole & Jerry Lawler

The Undertaker def. Rikishi (w/Haku) via DQ with Haku running in to break the pinfall. Kane runs in after Taker gets a beatdown from Haku and Rikishi.

A limo is shown pulling up and it's Vince McMahon. After a commercial break, Vince makes his way out.

Vince: You know my limo driver was late to arrive to the arena tonight and I felt like firing him dammit I wanted to fire him and buy out the Savings and Loans that mortgaged his house so that I could own him and his family dammit, but I feel different. I feel like a new man...I won't fire him....dammit hand me over some beer (calls out a crew member who throws him a beer and Jim Ross says that's weird). You see at the Royal Rumble, Stone Cold opened my eyes. Stone Cold being who he is a redneck son of a gun, dammit showed me the light (Lawler shouts "What!"). So Stone Cold I'm making it official, on February 25th

at No Way Out, Stone Cold Steve Austin will be taking on Triple H for the WWF Championship. And that's not all...(Kurt Angle appears)

Kurt: (at the Smackdown platform) Everyone out here knows I was screwed out of the WWF title twice. If there is one man who deserves a shot at the WWF Championship it's me!

Vince: You know something Kurt Angle, I'll make you a deal. This Monday on RAW is War, you'll be taking on Stone Cold Steve Austin to determine who is the No. 1 Contender for the WWF Championship, but the stipulation will be it will be a No Holds Barred match!

Cole says he can't believe it.

An advert of Tough Enough is shown with several potential recruits.

Backstage, Vince is on the phone with Trish Stratus. He goes on to tell her that he's a changed man and that he's going to "open up a keg of whoop a$$ and serve it to everyone in the WWF". Vince hangs up the phone as he said it and looks a bit dazed, but he calls Trish again on the phone.

After a commercial break Triple H storms in on Vince's conversation. He says that he doesn't want to face Austin and wants a fair fight against Kurt Angle. Vince says that Angle has a last shot on RAW to become No. 1 Contender. Triple H says he wants Angle and will do whatever it takes to make it happen. Triple H leaves as a delivery man walks in and says "Mr. McMahon it's the t-shirts you ordered". Vince thanks the delivery man as the camera fades away and Cole wonders what that's all about.

The Big Show def. Chris Jericho (c) via DQ. Jericho retains the Intercontinental Championship. The Rock joined commentary for the match and talks about the Big Show returning. The Rock taunted the Big Show when he was on the outside and the Big Show chokes the Rock out. Thereafter as the Big Show choleslamed Jericho, the Rock runs in and attacks the Big Show, laying the smackdown till the Big Show rolls out of the ring angry.

Backstage there is talk about Stone Cold being in the building as Triple H hears about it and says he wants to talk to Austin man to man. He doesn't find Austin anywhere.

Stone Cold is sitting at the parking lot having a couple of beers and has a small BBQ, grilling some meat. After a commercial break Triple H finally confronts Austin.

Triple H: So I'm sure you heard.

Austin: You don't bug a man on his grill and holdin' a beer (stands up face to face with Triple H)

Triple H: I still don't think you'll make it to No Way Out, but I want to know why...I want to know why on two occassions you helped me out.

Austin: You wanna beer?

Triple H: (shakes his head) I know how this goes, just remember Austin, whatever game your playing, it won't work on the Game.

JR and King start the show off talking about the main event tonight to determine the No. 1 contender for the WWF Championship at No Way Out between Stone Cold Steve Austin and Kurt Angle in a No Hold's Barred match.

Kurt Angle makes his way out to the ring to address his hometown fans. He talks about how tonight he's going to become the No. 1 contender for the WWF Championship for No Way Out. He says that he's Pittsburgh's hero, that he is the most-requested "sperm donor" and talks about him daring Mario Lemiuex a year ago to find the courage to return to the Penguins. As he continues on and on, Vince McMahon makes his way out to some heat.

Vince: Kurt Angle, I don't think anyone watching this right now wants to hear about the damn Penguins. Dammit Kurt, you served me well for as long as you could, but the truth is just because this is your hometown, doesn't mean $hit.

Stone Cold Steve Austin is more than ready to open up a can of whoop a$$ and beat you down like the son of a bit$h you are! (JR is like WTH?).

Kurt: Vince! Vince please, I don't know what's gotten into you, but tonight is my night...

Vince: We'll just see about that because that's the

"bottom line because Vince McMahon said so". (King shouts What!)

After a commercial break we see Kurt Angle upset in the back with Michael Cole and he says he doesn't get what is going on with Vince maybe he's having a mid-life crisis or something.

Coachman is in the back interviewing Vince McMahon.

Coachman: I have to ask Mr. McMahon with all due respect, some here in the WWF are a little concerned about you.

Vince: Concerned? They should be thrilled.

Coachman: Last Thursday on Smackdown, you spoke about how you "saw the light", what do you mean?

Vince: (gets angry) Dammit how about I show you the light? (threatens Coachman)

Coachman: Everyone wants to know you've been drinking on television lately and well acting much like Stone Cold kind of does.

Vince: You just simply don't understand with that peon brain of yours, I am the boss dammit and if I want a beer I can have it. As for Stone Cold Steve Austin, well...he just kind of rubs off on ya eh? (laughs and leaves)

Coachman: Okay? That was weird.

Thereafter Michael Cold interviews Billy Gunn about Chyna's injury and condition.

Back from break Vince is flirting with Trish Stratus over the phone. William Regal interupts coming in to the room and says that he's imported some Assam Tea and believes that Vince needs the opportunity to relax. He wants Vince to have a taste and Vince thanks him as Regal smiles and leaves.

Vince grabs a beer and pours it into the tea! Vince starts to drink it.

We move to the next segment of Triple H arguing with Stephanie saying that her father could be a problem because Triple H really wants to face Angle at No Way Out. Stephanie asks if is he afraid of Austin, Triple H says he isn't because he wants to beat Angle fair and square, but believes that Vince could be a problem. He says he wants to talk to Vince.

After a commercial break, Triple H confronts Vince who is busy having his "beer tea". Triple H says he doesn't know what's gotten into him, but he wants to ensure that Vince McMahon won't be a problem tonight in the main event. Vince says Triple H has nothing to worry about and wants to see a fair fight. Triple H says it's fair enough and Vince tells Triple H that if he dares interfere in the match he'll be fired. Triple H looks upset and says he'll just watch.

The Hardy Boyz (w/Lita) def. The Acolytes (w/Jacqueline) & Bull Buchanan & The Goodfather in a Triple Tag Team Match for the No. 1 Contendership of the WWF Tag Team Championships on Smackdown. Earlier on in the match Lita and Jacqueline got into a cat fight and they're in for a match later tonight.

Michael Cole starts to interview the Rock backstage. The Rock says he's had enough of the Big "Slow". Meanwhile Big Show is watching the interview on the monitor and smashes it. Big Show starts to walk. After a commercial break, the Big Show finds Michael Cole and asks for the Rock.

From behind the Rock grabs a steel chair and smashes it over the Big Show! The Rock lays the smackdown till WWF Officials stop them.

Raven (c) def. Crash Holly (w/Molly) via pinfall to retain the WWF Hardcore Championship.

The Undertaker (w/Kane) def. Haku (w/Rikishi) via pinfall.

Lita fought Jacqueline to a No Contest this after Ivory comes out to the watch the match and gets in a fight with the both of them. Ivory thereafter is interviewed in the back after a commercial break saying that after beating Chyna, she wants to dominate the women's division.

Stone Cold Steve Austin vs. Kurt Angle for the No. 1 Contender spot for the WWF Championship at No Way Out.

Austin comes out to a big pop followed by Angle who the fans cheer since it's his own hometown. Austin starts off by beating up on Angle, Angle counters and goes for an Angle slam early on for the pin to two. Angle attempts the ankle lock for the break. Austin fires back and it's an all out brawl between the two. Austin takes it to the outside and smashes Angle into the ringpost and railings.

After a commercial break, Austin goes for the stunner, but Kurt counters pushes him aside and it's the Angle slam!

Vince McMahon suddenly appears and walks down the aisle. Austin fell to the outside during the finisher. Angle goes to the outside and throws Austin back in. Angle goes for the ankle lock and Austin shouts in pain. Vince "looks upset" and grabs a steel chair to sit on to "watch" the match. Triple H is watching on a monitor shaking his head.

Austin doesn't give up after a minute in as Angle is frustrated. Angle breaks the hold himself and wants to attempt a third angle slam, only for Austin to land a low blow. Vince is CHEERING FOR AUSTIN. Austin wonders what the heck is Vince doing out here. Angle is up and hurt, Austin goes for a beatdown till Angle counters it and starts his own beatdown in a corner. Angle goes nuts till they bump into the referee accidentally. Angle counters a stunner attempt and lands the third Angle Slam! It looks to be over but the referee is out of it. Austin tries to get back up as Angle tries to help the referee up.

Suddenly Vince grabs the chair and tosses it in. Austin doesn't know where the chair comes from and smashes the chair over Angle's head!

Austin throws the chair away and goes for the pin as Vince tells the ref to hurry it up for the nearfall! Austin doesn't believe it and lands the stunner for the win.

In the back Triple H is going nuts and shouts at Stephanie that it's all her fault.

Austin celebrates, but notices Vince who is smiling. Vince struts his way back with Austin staring for RAW to go off air.

February 1st, 2001

Hosts: Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler

The Dudley Boyz (c) def. The Hardy Boyz in a Tables match

Backstage we find Vince McMahon drinking a beer in his office, watching the match on his shiny new flat-screen TV. After a commercial break the EMT's are attending all four tag team men as Lita tries to comfort the Hardy's but Matt tells her to worry about herself. After a commercial break we now find Steve Austin in the back watching on a monitor drinking beers on his own.

Ivory (c) def. Molly Holly (w/Crash) via pinfall to retain the WWF Womens' Championship in a No Hold's Barred Match. After the match Lita runs in to fight off Ivory. Jacqueline makes a run in thereafter and goes after Lita. Ivory goes after Jacqueline till WWF Officials break them off.

Backstage we find Triple H and Stephanie arriving in their dressing room to find cases and cases of beer. Triple H gets angry and suspects Austin.

The Acolytes def. Edge & Christian via pinfall in a Tornado Tag Match.

Backstage Vince McMahon is drinking his beers and gets a phone call about XFL debuting on Saturday. He shouts on the phone saying he'll open up a can of whoop a$$ on anyone if they don't get things right. William Regal walks in and wants to cheer Vince up with a new tea he brings in. Vince says to pour him and himself a cup. As Vince is blasting away on the phone, Vince opens up another can of beer and pours it in both cups.

Regal is confused and Vince shouts at him "Drink". Regal is absolutely disgusted with the "beer tea".

There is more talk about Chyna and her appearance on Late Night with Conan O'Brien. Meanwhile Billy Gunn is interviewed about Chyna. Big Show interupts and says no one give a damn about Chyna when they should care about what he'll do to the Rock.

After a commercial break, Trish Stratus is having a bubble bath. She starts to flirt with someone on her cell phone. She "invites" that person to join her.

Triple H confronts Austin and shouts at him for all the beers in his room. Austin says he'll beat his a$$ right now if he doesn't step back. Austin says he knows nothing about the beers, but won't mind taken them off his hands. Triple H says he can take them all right now. Austin says he'll be happy to do so and that it better not be some kind of trick. Triple H looks confused.

Backstage Austin has some officials he threatened to beat up take out the beers from Triple H's room to be placed in his truck. Stephanie shouts at Austin about it, and Austin says that they're not his beers, but is glad to take them for free. After all her man ran him over and deserves a little something.

In the ring Kat comes out and decides to disrobe for the fans till the "Right to Censor" arrive and throw a towel over her.

Kelly Kelly interviews the Rock about Big Show and the

Rock says he wants a match at No Way Out.

After a commercial break, Vince McMahon is making his way towards Triple H and Stephanie's room. As he enters he shouts "WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?"

Triple H: What? What do you mean?

Vince: Where the hell is all my beer? I ordered it to be brought here.

Triple H: Take it easy take it easy, I didn't know it was yours I thought it was Austin playing mind games.

Vince: Austin has them? Dammit those were my beer!

Stephanie: Sorry daddy we had no idea...

Vince: You owe me beer, you better pay up! In fact I'm putting you both in a match tonight.

You'll both be facing the BROTHERS OF DESTRUCTION.

Triple H: I'll just get it back from Austin! I'll...no this isn't right.

Stephanie: What! This is crazy dad!

Vince: You're buying me more beer and that's the bottom line because Vince McMahon said so.

The Big Show def. The "One" Billy Gunn in a Last Man Standing Match

Backstage Triple H and Stephanie are trying to find Vince, but we are told that Vince isn't in his office and no where to be seen. Triple H and Stephanie enter their room and find Austin coming out of there personal washroom. Austin says "sorry I clogged the toilet there and thanks for the beer, but that won't change my mind about what I'll do to you at No Way Out". Triple H looks pissed.

Kurt Angle arrives late in the arena and is looking for Vince McMahon for being screwed on RAW. Angle is on a manhunt till he finds Kevin Kelly and demands for Vince, but Kevin tells them that Vince isn't around and he was told that he was "busy" for the rest of the night. Angle comes to the ring and rants about how he was screwed by Vince and that after everything he did for him, he'll be ready for him at RAW and won't arrive late this time around. After a commercial break Angle is in the back and bumps into Raven. Raven says to watch it, Angle snaps and attacks him locking in the ankle lock! A referee was nearby who notices Raven tapping out and stops Angle handing over the Hardcore title to Angle! Angle looks confused and walks away with the belt.

Triple H (c) & Stephanie McMahon vs. The Brothers of Destruction in a Tag Match

Taker and Kane are awaiting in the ring. Triple H and Stephanie are out. Trips tells Stephanie not to get involved and that he'll make the sacrifice for her. Stephanie stays on the apron. Kane and Taker dominate the whole match destroying Triple H till "accidentally" Triple H bumps into Stephanie! Stephanie is shocked and afraid. She begs Kane not to hurt her and even grabs a chair that was in the ring at the time.

Triple H rolls out of the ring. Kane starts to choke Stephanie till suddenly

RAW opens up with Lawler and JR talking about Smackdown Xtreme. Triple H with the WWF title makes his way out to start the show and gets on the mic.

Triple H: You know last Thursday on Smackdown Xtreme, my wife Stephanie McMahon was assaulted by Stone Cold Steve Austin. Before I talk about you Austin, I have something else to say because I don't just blame Austin, I also blame Vince McMahon. Vince McMahon decided to punish his own daughter by throwing us into a tag match with the Undertaker and Kane. What kind of father would do such a thing? Vince, something is seriously wrong with you lately. And not only is something wrong with you, you seem to be favouring your nemesis, your rival, the guy you hate more than anyone in the world, and that's Stone Cold Steve Austin. So Vince I'm out here to ask you personally to face me man to man. So come on out Vince...

Vince makes his way out strutting with an Austin 3:16 t-shirt.

Triple H: (laughs) What the heck, seriously, what's with the shirt pops?

Vince: You know something Triple H, and don't you call me pops...

Triple H: I think everyone wants to know what the heck is wrong with you, I mean what is your obsession about Stone Cold?

Vince: I don't give a rats a$$ about what you think because Vince McMahon would open up a can of whoop a$$ all over the floor.

Triple H: (laughs) You know something Vince, maybe it's that dementia kicking in or mid-life crisis or something, but I wanted to call you out tonight to give you a chance to apologize. You see you put your own daughter's life at risk. She has no business being in the ring with the Brothers of Destruction...

Vince: What did you say? (gets fired up) What did you say! How dare you who do you think you are? I can do whatever I want! In fact tonight on RAW, you're defending that WWF title against the Brothers of Destruction in a Handicap match! And if you got a problem with that than we can settle this right now and that's the bottom line because Vince McMahon said so!

Triple H leaves the ring shaking his head.

Vince: That's right run. Run you sorry little son of a bi$ch (continues cursing at Trips)

Suddenly a hooded figure runs in from the audience and it's Kurt Angle! Angle attacks Vince from behind and locks in the Angle Lock! Triple H looks back and smiles as he leaves Vince who is screaming for help! After a commercial break, Kurt Angle is shown during the break and is arrested for the assault.

Backstage we see the Rock making his arrival to the building with Kevin Kelly approaching him for an interview but the Rock brushes him off with a hermaphrodite joke (it was the Attitude Era after all). After a commercial break, the Rock is in the ring and does his usual "finally" promo.

Rock: Everyone knows that I won the Royal Rumble, everyone knows that I will become the next WWF Champion, but ever since I've won, I've got one giant tick on my back. I'm out here because the Rock is sick and tired of the Big Slow and I want a fight right now here tonight on RAW. So why don't you come down the ring you big fat a$$ and just bring it!

Billy Gunn instead walks out to much heat from the crowd. Gunn is in the ring.

Rock: What the hell do you want?

Gunn: I came out here to tell you that I faced the Big Show on Smackdown Xtreme, and let me tell you something, you don't want to face him. You don't want him to come down the aisle because he's on a rampage and luckily he's had the night off so I'm out here to warn you...

Rock: Do you think I care about what you think? Know your roll and shut your mouth!

Gunn: I'm being honest Rock because the Big Show is back better than ever and there is no way that you can beat him, not on your best day.

Suddenly the Rock lands the Rock Bottom on Billy Gunn! After a commercial break, JR and Lawler says that the Rock and Billy Gunn will have a match tonight on RAW.

Backstage Vince McMahon is being tended to by Trish Stratus on a sofa as she rubs his ankle. Vince is hurt and is glad that Kurt Angle was arrested. Vince asks for a beer. Trish says it's not a good idea. Vince stands with a limp.

Vince: What did you say?! When I ask for a beer I want it now!

Trish: Okay okay (grabs a cold one as Vince falls on his sofa).

Vince: (mumbles) Damn that Kurt Angle to hell, damn it I want to open up a can of whoop a$$ so bad that he'll be flying straight to Mexico after I'm done with him (sips on his beer).

Trish: Vince I'm worried about you.

Vince: Don't worry about it Trish so why don't you come here (grabs her as the camera fades away).

Stone Cold Steve Austin is shown arriving at the building where Kevin Kelly tries to get an interview and flips him off as he leaves for annoying him. JR says Kevin Kelly must be having a hard day.

Back from break, the Kat visits the Acolytes and requests that they start a new stable known as the "Right to Nudity" to counter the "Right to Censor".

JR and Jerry Lawler talk about the Hardcore Championship being stripped away from Angle by WWF Officials for his assault on the boss. The vacated title will be up for grabs at No Way Out on PPV with Raven and Crash Holly declared as the No. 1 contenders for the belt.

The Dudley Boyz (c) fought Haku & Rikishi to a No Contest after the Brothers of Destruction interfere in the match and fight them both off.

Lita fought Jacqueline to a Double DQ.

Backstage William Regal opens Vince's door to reveal Vince without a shirt on laying on his couch by himself.

Regal: O sorry Mr. McMahon.

Vince: What the hell are you doing here (puts on an Austin 3:16 shirt)

Regal: Well I wanted you to try a new tea I brought, it's infused with intoxicants, because I know how much you like throwing a cold one into the tea, but this is so much better than the tea you made me drink, so what do you say?

Vince: Yah sure why not let me try it (takes a sip) what is this bull$hit?

Regal: It's...

Vince: (throws the tea in the trash) This is garbage here sit down and let me show you how we Americans drink tea, here's a beer.

Regal drinks a little and leaves the room with the can as Vince opens another cold one with a smirk over his face.

The Big Show places his foot on the chest of the Rock and raises his fist to much heat.

Backstage Vince is showing a video tape of the XFL to Trish Stratus and talks about what football is. They're eating nachos and having beers till someone knocks on the door. William Regal walks in again as Vince shouts at him. Regal says that someone bailed out Kurt Angle and he's on his way to the building. Vince says to let him in because he'll beat his a$$.

After a commercial break Vince, Regal and Trish are watching the XFL tape together. Suddenly a door knocks and Vince asks Regal to check on the door, Regal thinks it's Angle, but Vince shouts at him to check. Regal opens the door suddenly and it's Stone Cold Steve Austin. Regal accidentally hits Austin in the face and Austin starts beating up Regal in the hallway! Vince is laughing and is up. He starts to cheer Austin. Austin drags Regal to the ring!

Stone Cold Steve Austin def. William Regal via pinfall with the Stone Cold Stunner.

Austin: I came to your room you piece of trash because I had a question for you, but it looks like I forgot what I was going to ask you, the bottom line is come No Way Out y'all gonna see a new WWF Champion so give me a hell ya (fans chant back)!

Vince smiles and leaves Regal as Austin starts drinking some beers in the ring. After a commercial break, Regal is back up, Austin offers a beer and stuns him once more!

Triple H (c) vs. The Brothers of Destruction in a Handicap Match for the WWF Championship

Triple H has a sledgehammer in the middle of the ring, despite the referee telling him to leave it out of the ring. Triple H starts to swing it around till Kane manages to take him down. The match goes on as both Kane and Taker completely dominate Triple H. Taker sets up the last ride and it looks to be over till Haku and Rikishi run in for the DQ.

Triple H rolls on out of the ring looking upset.

He grabs the sledgehammer and swings it everyone in the ring! Triple H stands over all four with the sledgehammer over his shoulder and the WWF title in his hands as RAW goes off air.

As for the Rock, he'll be taking on Big Show and to spice things up, the winner of that match will go to Wrestlemania to face Stone Cold Steve Austin....(Vince pauses and laughs)...yes because Stone Cold is going to whoop Triple H's a$$ (gets a pop) and take the title to Wrestlemania!

Triple H appears on the RAW platform.

Triple H: I don't get it Vince, I don't know what you're up too, but I worked hard to regain the WWF Championship, and if you think Stone Cold Steve Austin is going to take the title away from me, that's fine it's your opinion, heck you can think it all you want Vince, whatever mid-life crisis situation you're having...dad...well know this because at No Way Out...

Vince: No you know this pal,

Triple H you're going to lose the WWF title, because Vince McMahon said so!

Triple H: I can't believe you're making me do this...because I got a surprise for you in case you're dementia was going to kick in ha, maybe this will cure you.

Kurt Angle rushes out! Vince is shocked and tries to back away. Angle runs in the ring and starts firing punches left and right. Triple H leaves as Angle lands the Angle Slam on Vince!

Angle: (gets on the mic) I want you to hear me loud and clear Vince McMahon, I want a match, I want the kind of match that people have been waiting for, a match where Vince McMahon get's the beating of his life and taps out like there is no tomorrow!

That's right you and me in the ring at No Way Out! Let's see if you have grapefruits or marbles for balls!

After a commercial break Triple H enters his room with Stephanie as they hug. Triple H says he's glad she's back (after Austin stunned her a week ago). Stephanie says she's upset that he would unleash Kurt Angle on her father, but he understood why he had to do it. Triple H says it's the only way the old man will see clearly for a change and that there is no way in hell that Austin is going to take away the WWF title from him.

Chris Benoit & Perry Saturn (w/Terri Runnels) def. The Hardy Boyz (w/Lita) via submission

Backstage Vince McMahon is shouting at someone over the phone. William Regal comes in and Vince says he wants to set up a match with Kurt Angle to give him an a$$whooping at No Way Out. Regal offers McMahon to be his manager for the match, Vince says "whatever". Vince says to punish Angle for the second attack in a row, he's forcing Angle to take on the Big Show later tonight.

Edge (w/Christian) def. Al Snow (w/Head) via pinfall.

Rikishi & Haku def. The Dudley Boyz (c) via DQ. Haku lands a huge superkick to D'Von and goes for the pin, but the Undertaker jumps in the ring and chokeslams him. Kane appears out of nowhere as Rikishi attacks Taker, and Kane lands a chokeslam on Rikishi. Rikishi and Haku roll out of the ring as Taker and Kane call them back in the ring. The Dudley's are up and push both Kane and Taker for costing them the match. Kane and Taker chokeslam both D'Von and Bubba!

Stone Cold Steve Austin makes his way to the building, Vince McMahon approaches him.

Austin: What in the hell do you want?

Vince: I believe in you Austin, I believe in you.

Austin: Believe in me? Believe in my a$$

Vince: Wanna beer?

Austin: (thinks about it) A man can't turn down a beer.

Lawler and JR are going nuts as to what in the world is going on between Austin and Vince.

Triple H and Stephanie were watching on the monitor and Triple H says he's had enough as he rushes down the alleyway with Steph behind him. After a commercial break, Triple H enters the room and Vince is only there.

Vince: What the hell do you want? After what you pulled!

Triple H: Where is he?

Vince: Who?

Triple H: Austin, where is he!

Vince: He's not here, I offered him a beer and gave him one and he left. What's it to you? In fact for your insolence I'm putting you and Austin in a tag team match.

Triple H: Wait wait what? Austin and I as partners, you gotta be kidding me.

Vince: That's right...

Triple H: Who are we facing?

Vince: You'll see (Trips leaves angrily as Steph remains behind).

Steph: Dad you're being hard on him.

Vince: Hard? He threw Kurt Angle at me, I should fire both Angle and Triple H, but you know what I'm a generous man, I want Kurt Angle squashed by Big Show, I want to beat his a$$ so bad he'll cry for his mom (starts to drink a beer).

Steph: Dad I think you need to cut down on the drinking.

Vince: Come on let's watch this XFL tape...

Steph: As much as I enjoy the XFL, this is just getting too weird for me dad. This whole thing with you and Austin, punishing me last week, your beer drinking? It's not you. What will investors say dad (Vince doesn't respond and continues to drink his beer and watches XFL)

Big Show def. Kurt Angle via DQ after the Rock runs in to attack the Big Show costing Angle the match. The Rock and Big Show fight all the way to the back as Angle gets on the mic and talks trash about Vince McMahon and says he can't wait till No Way Out when he makes him tap to the point that he'll end up in an old home. The Rock and Big Show are broken apart by referees.

Triple H and Stephanie head there way out to the ring.

Stone Cold Steve Austin makes his way out to a pop and goes eye to eye with Triple H. They have no idea who they'll be facing. Triple H gets on the mic.

Triple H: Well dad, Austin is here, who are our opponents?

Triple H (c) & Stone Cold Steve Austin (w/Stephanie) vs. Kai-En-Tai (Taka and Funaki).

Triple H laughs it out and tells Austin he'll take care of it all himself. As Trips completely dominates both Taka and Funaki, in the match

Austin STUNS Triple H for Taka to get the pinfall over the champion!

Triple H is furious at Stone Cold screwing him in the match. Triple H calls out Austin who was on his way out and says he wants a match and to forget about No Way Out,

he wants a match this Monday on RAW as Smackdown goes off air.

WWF Champion Triple H and Stephanie McMahon make their way out. Triple H get son the mic.

Triple H: Last Thursday at Smackdown, Stone Cold Steve Austin humiliated me in front of the whole world. Well tonight my challenge stands, forget about No Way Out, Austin tonight on RAW I'm putting the WWF Championship on the line so how about it, are you ready?

Glass Shatters! And Stone Cold Steve Austin runs down the aisle! Stephanie jumps out of the ring as Austin jumps in and attacks Triple H with lefts and rights! Triple H counters Austin and lands a clothesline. He takes off his shirt as a referee runs in to ring the bell!

Triple H (c) (w/Stephanie) vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin for the WWF Championship

Austin and Triple H go at it for a good minute till

Vince McMahon rushes out with TOILET PAPER hanging out of his pants!

Vince: (on the RAW platform) Stop it right now! Stop it! This match isn't happening tonight dammit! If you don't stop it I'll fire both your a$$e$$ right now! (the bell rings as Triple H and Austin finally stop and both look at Vince)

Vince: Triple H I've had it up to here with you, you think just because you're married to my daughter that you can do anything you want? In fact I'm giving you both matches tonight! Triple H you'll be taking on Kane for the WWF Championship! (Triple H gets angry and shouts at Vince), and as for you Austin, well Austin you can pick whoever you want to face tonight, just not Triple H, save it for No Way Out! (Austin looks surprised)

Lawler and JR talk about favoritism and Vince's bias towards Austin.

Vince McMahon is in his office with Trish and Regal. William Regal asks Vince about Austin's opponent. Vince demands that Regal go find out about it himself. After a commercial break, Regal approaches Austin who is tieing his laces.

Regal: Mr. Austin, Mr. McMahon wants to know who you'll be facing later tonight.

Austin: Do you want to know? Do you really want to know?

Regal: Well come on Austin, you have the pick at anyone you want...

Austin: I'm feeling a little inclined in picking you right this minute.

Regal: Now wait just a minute Mr. Austin, I meant no...

Austin: No you listen here you piece of trash, you go tell your boss that I already picked someone before I whoop your a$$ right here right now.

JR wonders who it's going to be.

Vince says he'll beat up Kurt Angle at No Way Out.

Chris Jericho (c) def. Al Snow via DQ after Justin Credible makes his debut as a former ECW Champion who attacks Jericho in the ring.

Stone Cold Steve Austin makes his way out to the ring and awaits his challenger as everyone wants to know who it is.

Austin: Alright since Vince McMahon wants me to pick a challenger and he won't let me beat up Triple H, I might as well choose someone who Triple H loves,

I choose...Stephanie McMahon!

Stephanie is in the back with Triple H watching in the monitor and is in total shock. Vince McMahon appears and shouts at Stephanie to get into the ring. Stephanie says there is no way she's going to do this.

Vince says if she doesn't, she'll lose her inheritance!Stephanie makes her way down after a commercial break with Triple H who is pissed off, by her side.

Austin: If you want me to give Stephanie McMahon the beating of her life than give me a hell ya! (fans chant back)

Stone Cold Steve Austin vs. Stephanie McMahon in Singles competition

Stephanie is frightened and tries to talk some sense into Austin as the bell rings. Stephanie begs for her life. Triple H gets on the apron and threatens Austin. Austin attacks Triple H! Suddenly Stephanie jumps behind Austin's back and tries to choke him out! Austin breaks the hold at ease and Stephanie backs herself into a corner. Austin tries to grab her, but she runs around the ring away from Austin. Austin looks at the crowd till Stephanie pushes the referee into Austin hard knocking the ref out. Austin flips Stephanie and kicks her readying her for a stunner till

Triple H strikes Austin in the back with a sledgehammer!

Triple H pummels Austin's gut with the sledgehammer! Triple H gets in the pedigree and he drags Stephanie over to Austin as the ref pins for the three count!

JR and Lawler are going nuts on commentary as they can't believe that Stephanie McMahon won the match by the hands of Triple H. Triple H laughs it off as Austin is being taken out on a stretcher. After a commercial break, Austin climbs out of the stretcher in the back and tries to look for Triple H, but security hold down Austin as Vince McMahon shouts at Austin that he needs to "save it for No Way Out". Austin is taken into the ambulance.

Triple H (c) def. Kane via DQ to retain the WWF Championship. As the match was happening, an Ambulance shows up and it was AUSTIN DRIVING IT BACK IN!

Austin runs out of the ambulance and runs down the aisle and starts to beat up on Triple H! Austin stuns Triple H, but Kane chokeslams Austin for interrupting in the match to close off RAW.

February 15th, 2001

Vince McMahon makes his way out to the ring with a blazer and

Vince: I know most of you are expecting a match with Stone Cold taking on Kane, however after careful discussion with health professionals, I have made the decision that Stone Cold Steve Austin won't be facing Kane. However knowing how Austin is and how he would still want to open up a can of whoop a$$ tonight, I may consider giving him a match, or heck if he wants a day off dammit he can have it, I'll leave that choice to him (Cole talks about Vince's bias towards Austin), so about....

Suddenly the Big Show makes his way out and gets in the ring.

Big Show: I don't care about what's going on with you and your mid-life crisis or whatever it is, and I don't care about Steve Austin, the fact of the matter remains, my match with the Rock at No Way Out, well I can't wait that long Vince. I want a match right here tonight with the Rock. I want the Rock right now (gets Vince into a corner)!

Vince: And you can have him, in fact I'm making this a tag team match! You can pick any partner you want and you'll take on the Rock and a partner of his choosing!

The Big Show nods as we head for break.

Stone Cold makes his way to the building looking pissed and Kevin Kelly talks to Austin about the day off (without telling him it's his choice)

Austin: What do you mean day off? I came here to give Kane an a$$ whopping. I'm going to talk to Vince.

Vince gets into his office and finds someone who from behind looks like Mick Foley!

Vince: What in the damn hell are you doing here? I fired your...(the man turns around and it's Al Snow who has a mankind mask on) What the, your not Mick Foley what are you doing here?

Al Snow: I heard there was a job opening for WWF Commissioner. Look at me I can play the part!

Vince: Get the hell out of here! (Snow leaves till there is a knock on the door and it's Austin!)

Austin: What in the hell is this about a day off?

Vince: I never said a day off Austin, you won't be facing Kane, I just got off the phone with your personal doctor, so I decided to give you the option, wrestle anyone else you want, or take the day off.

Austin: Then I pick Triple H.

Vince: You know that...that won't happen.

Austin: Dammit Vince give me someone.

Vince: You know come to think of it...I got a man just for you later tonight.

Austin awkwardly hugs Vince McMahon...which even Vince is moved. Lawler says something is definitely up between the two.

The Undertaker def. Edge via pinfall. Rikishi and Haku were watching in the back on a monitor, but were barred from ringside.

Matt Hardy (w/Jeff Hardy & Lita) def. Perry Saturn (w/Terri Runnels) via pinfall. Near the end of the match, Lita got knocked from the apron and into the arms of Light Heavyweight Champion Dean Malenko who was watching the match from ringside. Malenko ends up kissing Lita who slaps him in the face.

After a commercial break, Vince meets up with Al Snow in the locker rooms who was packing his bag and was wearing a different shirt.

Vince: What the hell are you doing?

Al Snow: You told me to get the hell out of here.

Vince: I meant my office dammit. In fact I reconsidered your request for the position of WWF Commissioner.

Al Snow: Gee golly wiz me are you serious?

Vince: Yes...I want you to look like Mick Foley for presentation.

Al Snow: O I can do that!

Vince: And to become WWF Commissioner you'll have to beat up Stone Cold Steve Austin in the ring tonight (laughs and leaves leaving Al Snow in shock).

The Rock is in the back and approaches IC Champion Chris Jericho, he asks him if he would like to be his partner tonight. Jericho says he would.

Meanwhile, the Big Show finds the Undertaker. Big Show asks him if he wants to be his partner. Taker says he already had a match and refuses because he's got to work on his new ride he just bought. Big Show gets angry and continues his search for a partner.

X-Pac fought Eddie Guerrero to a Double Countout.

After a commercial break Big Show approaches Kane who is pacing back and forth. Kane is angry that he doesn't get to face Austin. Show says he knows Kane wants a match so he wants him as his tag partner tonight. Kane accepts.

Stone Cold Steve Austin vs. Al Snow (aka. Fake Mick Foley) in Singles competition

Austin is in the ring and awaits his challenger. Snow comes out with Foley style clothing and wears a mankind mask. As soon as Snow gets in the ring Austin beats him down hard. Vince McMahon comes out to watch the match and starts to really enjoy it. He gets on the mic and demands that Austin DESTROY "Mick Foley". Austin stuns Snow and goes for the pin to three.

The Rock is being interviewed with Kevin Kelly and the Rock uses his "Finally" intro. Thereafter he asks Kelly if he was picking his nose (which he was) right in front of the great one? Kelly gets scared and the Rock insults him that he almost makes him cry. The Rock says tonight he'll beat up the Big Show and with Chris Jericho as his partner they'll lay the smackdown on Kane as well.

The Big Show & Kane def. The Rock & Chris Jericho (c) via pinfall in a Tag Team Match. The match went off well for the Rock who managed to take down both Kane and Show. Jericho fought off Kane for the most part but later on in the match as the Rock bodyslams Kane into a table on the outside, Big Show lands the chokeslam on Jericho for the pinfall win. Big Show stomps on Jericho's chest and raises his fist, giving a cold stare at the Rock. The Rock looks pissed as Smackdown goes off air.

Lita (w/Matt Hardy) def. Dean Malenko (c) via pinfall to become the NEW Light Heavyweight Champion.

Malenko had been lusting over Lita on Sunday Night Heat and last week on Smackdown, but with the help of Matt Hardy who slams Malenko with a chair when the ref was distracted, Lita manages to do a moonsault from the top rope for this massive upset. After the match Matt Hardy runs into the ring and kisses Lita!

After a commercial break Matt Hardy apologises to Lita who is celebrating in the back to become the first woman to win the Light Heavyweight title. Lawler thinks it's an embarassment, but JR reminds Lawler that Chyna was a former two-time IC Champion. As the celebration happens, Stephanie McMahon and Triple H make there way to the building and they notice Lita celebrating.

Steph: What the heck is this?

Lita: I won it fair and square!

Steph: How was this match even set up...(gets interrupted by Triple H)

Triple H: (starts laughing) Are you kidding me? A girl won!

Steph: Hey now what is that supposed to mean?

Triple H: O come on that's like you (Steph) beating me for the WWF Championship, give me a break.

Steph: What! (Steph storms off as Triple H looks upset)

Triple H: (to Lita angrily) Thanks a lot you know! (Lita hugs Matt thereafter)

Stephanie McMahon makes her way out to the ring by herself.

Steph: I know I'm upset at my man, but I have every reason to be. After all I beat Stone Cold Steve Austin (gets heat) right here in the middle of this ring. I did what no one thought was possible, and it looks to me I am proof including Lita who is now the NEW Light Heavyweight Champion, that woman can do anything. I wanted to make it clear that my father Vince McMahon isn't here tonight and that means I am defacto in charge of RAW is WAR. That's right my father was too busy with that sleezy looking Trish Stratus visiting my mom on Sunday Night HEAT, who I might add is practically in a camatose state because of what my father did to her. But even without my mom here, that makes me the dominant female McMahon and the dominant female in this building. Since I'm in charge, I will be overseeing the contract signing between Triple H the WWF Champion and that loser Stone Cold Steve Austin who will lose this Sunday at No Way Out.

Triple H makes his way out and gets on the mic. He apologies for his remarks earlier and says that although he did help, Stephanie did in fact beat Stone Cold and that this Sunday he will beat Stone Cold at No Way Out.

The "Right to Nudity" (Acolytes) (w/The Kat) def. The Right to Censor via pinfall after the Kat distracts the Right to Censor when she flashes them with her "puppies" (Lawler goes nuts).

X-Pac fought Eddie Guerrero to a No Contest with Special Guest Referee Chris Jericho. Jericho consistently caused trouble during the match till he rang the bell because he "felt like it" and manage to beat them both down and get in the walls of jericho on Eddie

The Rock def. Chris Benoit via pinfall with the Rock Bottom. Big Show was barred from ringside and watched the match on the monitor.

Stephanie and Triple H are on their way out with a table set up in the middle of the ring. Austin makes his way out to a big pop from the crowd.

Stephanie: Now that my father isn't here, I wanted to...(suddenly the REAL Mick Foley makes a shocking appearance)...Wait just a minute you were fired!

Foley: (makes his way to the ring) I have news for you, just for tonight on RAW I have been reinstated as Temporary WWF Commissioner. So it looks like I'm going to be taking care of this contract signing.

Stephanie: Under who's authority?

Foley:

Someone who owns a lot of stock in the WWF, someone who will make his return soon enough. This person wanted me to be here tonight to oversee the contract signing, but I promise you Stephanie this is only temporary.

Stephanie throws a fit and shouts at Triple H. Foley oversees the contract and has Austin sign it. Austin waits for Triple H who calls out a Lawyer from the back to come in the ring. They obviously waste time as they go through the contract.

Foley: O come on guys we don't have all day.

Triple H: Alright I'll sign this (signs)

Foley: Alright ladies and gentleman, the match is set for No Way Out this Sunday live on PPV!

Triple H and Austin get in each other's faces till

SUDDENLY Mick Foley DDT's Austin! Triple H and Stephanie look confused. Foley gets in the mandible claw! He holds unto the mic at the same time.

Foley: I'm sorry Austin! I'm sorry! I'm jobless! I was paid to do this I'm so sorry Austin! (runs off in tears with JR going nuts on commentary)

Triple H laughs and Stephanie raises his hands as RAW goes off air.

They show off what happened on RAW with Mick Foley attacking Austin and Foley will address his fans later tonight via a satellite feed.

Rikishi def. Jeff Hardy (w/Lita) via pinfall.

Crash Holly (w/Molly) def. Blackman, K-Kwik, and Perry Saturn in a Backstage Hardcore Rules match when Crash manages to pin K-Kwik. After the match, Raven was hiding in a corner and attacks Crash throwing him into a trash can.

Backstage Stone Cold Steve Austin is apparently making coffee. We then cut to the Helmsleys’ dressing room and find Triple H and Stephanie both reacting to the Hardcore match. Triple H says he's got a battle with the Undertaker tonight, but is glad it's non-title.

Vince McMahon makes his way to the building with Trish Stratus from a limo. After a commercial break, Vince is in his office talking to Trish about Kurt Angle tonight and how William Regal will weaken Angle for him. Vince opens up a can of beer and starts to drink with Trish talking like "Austin".

Chris Jericho (c) & X-Pac fought Chris Benoit & Eddie Guerrero to a No Contest. Despite being a tag match, the four just didn't get along and the match couldn't continue.

We now turn to Austin who has made several cups of coffee apparently. Triple H and Stephanie are getting ready for the non-title match. On Triple H's way, he finds Austin drinking coffee. Triple H looks at Austin.

Austin: Wanna coffee?

Triple H: Ha, what happened to beer, no thanks. As you can see I got a match.

Austin: Take it as a truce till this Sunday. I just want peace.

Triple H: Look I had nothing to do with Mick Foley, so whatever this is....

Stephanie: You know what I'll have some coffee.

Triple H: Don't! (Steph takes a sip) What are you doing? I've got my match!

Stephanie: It's pretty good.

Triple H: How could you Steph? What did you (Austin) put put some ex-lax in there? Spike it?

Austin: I feel the need for a good deed so if you gotta problem with that we can settle it right now.

Triple H: I ain't drinking your coffee (get's into Austin's face)

Austin suddenly punches Triple H! Austin grabs a coffee and

POURS IT DOWN TRIPLE H's TIGHTS! Triple H shouts so loud he goes nuts! Austin flips the table before Steph can throw her coffee at him as he runs off laughing.

After a commercial break Triple H is in a lot of pain and refuses to forfeit his match with Taker.

The Undertaker def. Triple H (c) via pinfall in a non-title match.

Triple H could barely wrestle during the match as he kept holding unto his groin throughout due to Austin pouring coffee down there. Undertaker lands the last ride and pins him for the win.

Backstage Vince and Trish were watching on the monitor and Vince was laughing about Triple H.

Vince: Gosh this is just so funny did you see how Austin....(laughs) I love him...

Trish: What? What do you mean you love him?

Vince: O...not like that I mean I love that damn Austin for what he does, not "in love" with him ha.

Trish: What about me? Do you...love me?

Vince: (laughs) Are you kidding me?

Trish: Do you even like me?

Vince: I like parts of you (laughs)

Trish storms off upset as Vince wonders what is going on with her and opens a can of beer.

Tazz joins commentary to replace Lawler.

After a commercial break, Triple H is looked at by a doctor in his room who says he'll be cleared for No Way Out. Steph is trying to comfort Triple H with an icepack on his groin. Triple H tells the doc to get out of here. Steph gets angry saying that Austin almost ruined her chances of having kids. Triple H looks a little shocked and tries to talk about destroying Austin at No Way Out.

We finally get a satellite feed of Mick Foley on screen. Foley says he was hired by this major "stockholder" of the WWF to come in to oversee the contract signing on RAW. He was told to attack Austin to send a message to Vince McMahon specifically. Vince is watching this on the monitor and wonders what the heck Foley is talking about. Foley continues saying that he considers Austin a good friend, but he felt like he betrayed him and all of his own fans. Foley apologies to everyone and says that he will never do such a thing again, but he had no choice he had a mortgage and bills to pay and a family to raise and needed a big pay off which he got on RAW. Foley says he won't reveal who hired him, but everyone will figure it out soon enough.

Kurt Angle vs. William Regal (w/Vince McMahon) in Singles competition

Angle and Regal lock up and get in a few holds, Vince who has only an Austin 3:16 shirt on is cheering on Regal. Vince grabs a chair and sits on it to drink a few beers from a cooler. After a commercial break, Regal is working on Angle's arms, but Angle reverses a clothesline to land his own. Angle gets fired up that he gets in the Angle slam. But instead of pinning Regal, he gets in a SECOND Angle Slam and the ankle lock! Regal can barely speak up and taps out fast.

Kurt asks for Vince to get in the ring. Vince gets angry and climbs into the ring as both Cole and Tazz say Vince is crazy. Vince takes off his shirt with a black wifebeater on. Angle goes for a spear, but Vince actually manages to get out of the way. Vince rolls out of the ring when Angle chases him as Vince stomps his foot on the ground and starts getting pissed off. GLASS SHATTERS!

Suddenly Stone Cold Steve Austin runs in and Vince jumps back in the ring. Angle looks happy. It looks like Austin is going to stun Vince, BUT instead he STUNS Angle!

Austin flips Angle off and looks at Vince. Austin leaves Vince in the middle of the ring who has a grin on his face as Smackdown goes off air.

Trish is no where to be seen. Stephanie McMahon rushes in and tells Vince that she hopes he doesn't do anything weird tonight with Austin because she expects Triple H to walk out with the WWF Championship. Vince says he can't think about anything else except his match with Kurt Angle.

Backstage Stephanie is on her way to the trainer's room to meet with Triple H till she finds Trish Stratus who just arrived. She asks Trish to convince Vince McMahon not to interfere with the main event. Trish says she isn't going to meet Vince and doesn't want to talk to him. Stephanie says as much as she despises her, is everything okay? Trish says no, but

things are going to change very soon and Stephanie better be ready. Stephanie wonders what that means.

Crash Holly (w/Molly) def. Raven via pinfall to become the NEW WWF Hardcore Champion.

The match ended up going backstage and even a few other hardcore performers like K-Kwik joined in on the match. Crash throws Raven into a trash compactor and was about to turn it on till Raven calls it quit and forfeits the match.

Kurt and Vince lock up and Vince actually manages to get Angle into a corner as Regal swipes Angle's legs from the outside. Vince starts to punch Kurt down like Austin would. Kurt gets pissed and starts to choke out Vince with a submission hold! Kurt slams Vince and stomps on him hard. Vince rolls on out to regroup. Kurt goes to the top rope for a high risk and lands a flying clothesline on both Vince and Regal! Vince is hurt and Kurt throws him back in the ring. Kurt locks in the ankle lock! Vince shouts in a lot of pain. Vince is about to tap out till Regal grabs Vince's hand to lock unto the ropes for the break. Kurt starts to work on Vince on the mat.

As Kurt continues his beatdown on Vince, Vince manages to get in a lowblow! Vince goes for a roll up for the nearfall. Vince rolls out of the ring and grabs something from Regal's boots. Vince gets back in the ring and uses a foreign object right into Angle's face. Vince throws it outside as the ref was distracted by Regal. Vince gets in the pin to two. Vince is frustrated and waits for Angle to get back up. Vince GETS IN A STUNNER! Vince goes for the pin to two. Vince gets frustrated and whips Kurt to the ropes for Austin's signature jump and beatdown. Although it looks terrible when Vince does it, he still manages to do it and starts beating on Kurt. Vince awaits for Kurt to get back up to go for another stunner till Kurt counters Vince's foot and gets in the ankle lock for the submission.

Part 2 of 2

The Rock lays the smackdown on the Big Show early on, but Big Show overpowers him. He pummels him on the outside and even chokeslams the Rock on the spanish announce table! The Rock is hurt, Big Show wants it bad as he lands a big powerslam in the ring. Late in the match the Rock manages to reverse an irish whip as Big Show manages to knock down the referee. The Rock gets in the spinebuster and the people's elbow and goes for the pin but no ref. The Rock tries to get the ref up. Big Show is backup and gets in the chokeslam. The ref counts 1...2..kickout! The Big Show goes for a second chokeslam, but the Rock counters and Rock Bottom for the pinfall!

The Dudley Boyz (c) def. Edge & Christian via pinfall to retain the WWF Tag Team Championships.

Despite billed as a regular match, tables and chairs were still used and the Dudley's got Christian through a chair and went for the pinfall win.

Backstage Stone Cold Steve Austin is approached by Kevin Kelly about how moments away he could be the next WWF Champion. Austin tells him off saying of course he'll be WWF Champion and that he "guaran-damn-tees" it almost like he was trying to sound like Vince McMahon. Austin leaves.

Triple H (c) (w/Stephanie) vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin for the WWF Championship

Austin makes his way out to a big pop. Triple H is out next with Stephanie and he looks more determined than ever. Austin attacks Triple H right away. Austin looking for the Stunner already but Triple H counters it. Austin whips Triple H and goes for a Thesz Press but Triple H manages to hot shot him on the top rope. Triple H goes for the Peidgree but Austin counters with an armbar takedown and Triple H rolls out to the floor. Austin goes after Triple H and rams him into the steps then pulls his shoulder repeatedly into the ringpost before tossing him back in.

Triple H goes for the Pedigree but for some reason he lets' go holding unto his groin as commentators remind everyone that Austin must have burned his "privates" on Smackdown. Austin works over Triple H’s shoulder before slapping on a standing armbar. Triple H comes back with a knee and goes for a whip but Austin reverses it and this time hits the Thesz Press. Austin unloads on Triple H with rights and the elbowdrop for a two count then whips him and hits a spinebuster. Austin then hops to the middle rope and goes for a flying elbowdrop but Triple H gets his foot up to block him. Triple H follows up with a neckbreaker then hits a second neckbreaker and drives his knee into Austin’s neck.

Triple H stomps at Austin in a corner when Austin starts fighting back but Triple H jabs the eyes to stop it. Triple H chopblocks Austin in the knee then goes out and wraps Austin’s knee into the ringpost repeatedly. Triple H elbows Austin in the chest then goes for the legs again but Austin pulls him face first into the ringpost. Triple H climbs in the ring and works on Austin’s knee again and drapes it on the ropes and sits down on it. Austin again fights back until Triple H kicks at the knee then slams it on the mat and slaps on the Figure Four. Austin tries to hold on while Triple H taunts him to give it up and even holds onto the middle rope for leverage. Eventually Austin inches Triple H away then turns the hold over and Triple H grabs the ropes for the break. Triple H elbows Austin in the head then goes back to working over the knee, hammering it with elbowdrops. Triple H goes for a leglock but Austin legdrops Triple H’s face to counter it and rams him into a turnbuckle. Austin whips Triple H and hits another Thesz Press followed by the right hands and the elbowdrop for two. Austin whips Triple H and

LANDS THE STUNNER! 1...2.. KICKOUT! Austin is in shock. Austin gets so pissed off that he throws out the referee!

In comes Vince McMahon who slightly limps selling the ankle lock on him earlier, grabs the referee's shirt and wears it! Vince is in the ring as ref. Austin goes for another stunner, but Triple H counters with a kick and

PEDIGREE!

Triple H goes for the pinfall as Vince does a

SLOW COUNT to "2 and a 3/4" for Austin to kick out.

Triple H starts shouting at Vince. Stephanie gets in the ring and admonishes her dad. Vince kicks her out from ringside! Suddenly Austin gets in a

SECOND STUNNER on Triple H! 1...2...DESPERATE SHOULDERS UP! Austin is in total disbelief. Even Vince is shocked. Vince runs to the outside and grabs a steel chair. Austin is beating up on Triple H till Vince hands a chair to Austin. Austin doesn't know what to do as he looks at the fans.

Triple H is up and he slams the chair over Triple H's head. Austin constantly uses the chair over Triple H's back till finally a

THIRD STUNNER ends with a pinfall.

Vince runs out to get the belt and hands it over to Austin. Austin celebrates his title win though JR and Lawler are shocked with how he won it. Austin calls for beers and has them with Vince. They toast and drink, but as it looks like Austin is going to stun Vince...he doesn't, upsetting the fans. Austin thanks Vince and shakes his hands as Vince leaves Austin to celebrate on his own in the ring for the PPV to go off air.

Out comes to the ring Vince McMahon to a mixed reaction and gets on the mic.

"I know you're all wondering what went on last night and how I helped Stone Cold become WWF Champion, I mean me, Mr. McMahon, just why did I do it? You know it all started at the Royal Rumble, when Austin and I got into a sort of a jam, a ruffle so to speak and it was there when I saw the light. I finally saw Stone Cold for who he was, a great man. I bought thousands of his t-shirts and steveweisers, heck I was diagnosed with obsessive compulsive disorder regarding Austin just two weeks ago and I proved last night that I was his No. 1 fan. I am a bigger fan of Austin than all of you here tonight combined. Call it a mid-life crisis, call it whatever you want, but there is another reason for what I did.

You see it wasn't too long ago when Triple H married my daughter, my precious little princess. It was this same Triple H who I thought at first that did the right thing by eliminating Austin, but the truth is I have always hated Triple H. I hate him, I hate how he destroyed my family (JR says "yeah right"), how he tried to take control of my company by using my daughter, I hate his guts,

The Rock is interviewed by Michael Cole as Cole congratulates the Rock for his win and how he is going to be taking on Kurt Angle tonight in the main event. The Rock says that now that he is officially the No. 1 contender he'll show why he deserves that spot tonight, but also that he will be ready for Stone Cold Steve Austin at Wrestlemania. However he wants to know how could Austin do what he did and accept Vince McMahon's help. He wants answers and will be watching closely.

Angle demands an apology, Taker says to shove it. Angle says he'll kick his a$$ if he doesn't get out of his way. Taker and Kane double team Angle till WWF Officials break it apart! Meanwhile Vince is watching what happened on his monitor and enjoyed it.

Jim Ross is in the middle of the ring with a mic and calls out Austin. Stone Cold Steve Austin makes his way out with the WWF Championship belt.

JR: Steve, Stone Cold, I think everyone knows that I consider you a close and personal friend over the years. But last night I was left in shock, almost speechless when I saw how you let Vince McMahon help you to win that WWF Championship. I want to know why Austin, why would you align with the likes of Mr. McMahon?

Austin: (in a work-shoot) Let me tell you something JR, I also think of you as a friend that is a fact. But let me tell it like it is son. Ever since Triple H was responsible for running me over, I had realized that my career was over. Somehow, with the odds stacked against me I still came back last year thinking I could be the man that I was, that I had what it took to do it all over again and open up a can of whoop a$$ on everybody. But I realized it's not true. I ain't the same man JR, look at my eyes does this look like the old Stone Cold you remembered? Look at these damn knee braces I can barely stand like I used too! My bones were shattered that night when Rikishi did what he did, I was like a carcass, my body has been beaten up so badly, heck remember how my neck was teared into pieces a few years back that nearly left me paralyzed?

Heck I shouldn't even be in the ring anymore, but this is what I love. This is what I wanna do, the fans know it, even if I have to crawl through the depths of hell the WWF is where I want to be and the WWF Championship is what it's all about.

JR: I can't say that I know how you feel Steve, I know you've been through a lot of hell to stand here in the ring. But last night, many fans out here feel you betrayed everything that was about who you were.

Austin: Betrayed? No,

I was in survival mode. I realized I don't got a lot of time, maybe a year, maybe two, maybe five years. I realized that any day now my body could simply give up, while my heart will pump forever. It was Vince McMahon who allowed me to return to the ring, yeah I hate his guts, but dammit JR I needed this win, I needed to beat Triple H and you saw how hard it was! I needed the WWF Championship! I admit it, that SOB is perhaps the toughest SOB I have ever faced! And now, as I hold unto this title belt, I'm afraid JR. I'm afraid what if I don't got what it takes to beat the Rock at Wrestlemania? To beat him at his best because I know I'm not at my best anymore! I beat the Rock before, but this time I don't know JR.
