Hi , Up for a little online murder mystery? Could you suss out the Imposters in time, or will you be vented out of the airlock? In the online social deduction game, Among Us, understanding how to read people is just as important as how you play the game. Released in 2018, Among Us broke out big in 2020, when the party game brought people together online. Among Us remains extremely popular and is available on virtually every platform, including major consoles, PC, and mobile devices. Whether you’re playing with strangers or friends and family, you’ll be assigned a role as either a Crewmate or as an Imposter. Crewmates have to complete specific jobs or tasks, while the alien Imposters sabotage the environment and kill off the real Crewmates. The social deduction comes when a body is found: All players have a meeting to go over the evidence, discuss who may be the culprit, and vote to eject the suspected Imposter. A big part of what makes Among Us popular is the social component of discussing a murder and scrutinizing evidence as a group. This means the game has interactive elements where players communicate with each other, either through in-game chat or by talking directly through a Discord server. Our latest Parent’s Guide blog post provides you the full details on everything you need to know about Among Us including:
