Guess what I'm craving now? If you think it's a no-limits lifetime subscription to Claude for everyone on the team, you'd be right. But failing that - a Greek yogurt with honey. And yes, I know it's getting on 2AM in my corner of the world, but hey (if I had said yogurt in wamy fridge), I might have soothed my conscience with the fact that it's good for me. Kind of like taking fish oil at bedtime. With a few extra calories here and there, but well... who's counting? 🤷♀️#science #health #founderslife

Oh, #ElonMusk... How the mighty have fallen. Remember when you were the eco-warrior's knight in shining armor, giving #electricvehicles their jumpstart into the mainstream? (Pun reluctantly embraced.) Now you're cozying up to a certain orange-hued friend who thinks the Green New Deal is about as useful as a #solar panel in a coal mine. And let's chat about that free speech crusade of yours. You're all for unfettered expression, unless it's a trending account that dares to disagree with you. Then it's "hasta la vista, baby". As for #GrokAI - I'll give it to you, it's got potential to be a fascinating social mirror, reflecting the best of X (formerly known as #Twitter). Instead, it's offending everyone from political figures to childless cat ladies (and their felines too).Elon, Elon, Elon... It wasn't that long ago that I was your unabashed fangirl, cheering on every #Tesla milestone. But that feels like ancient history now. I guess this is what they mean by "You either die a hero, or live long enough to see yourself become the villain." Or in this case, live long enough to create an AI that generates questionable images of said heroes and villains. Oh, how the turntables...

Now retired, mom has been a developer and electrical engineer most of her life. I don't know if that makes a difference, but she's been right there with all the current advances. She doesn't like social media, but she knows her way around Telegram. She's been killing it with search, holds her own with #ai debates at the dinner table, sees through You-Tube-peddled propaganda, and is yet to fall for a single catfishing text. When I was a kid, and seeing both my grandmothers really turn inward and to their own generation to while away their golden years, I used to think that's how it is supposed to be. How people aged, and how the old dog new tricks adage was an inevitability rather than an a choice on the party of the older population. The joke is on me. And boy, am I glad to be wrong! To still have not just my mom but still my best friend sharing my interest, and giving me a run for my money in the digital world.#innovation #education #aging

While I am certainly not the last in line accusing #ai (and its handlers) of potentially nefarious applications, accusing it of making up fakes when anyone can easily prove out the opposite? I mean, it's just silly.Personally, I AM very much thinking AI is being used in this #election cycle - not the least by combing through mountains of #voter #data, spamming us with copious donate-right-now texts, or making the all-too-real sounding candidate calls. But this? Blatantly manipulating publically available imagery? Yeah. No!

Just when you thought it was safe to have a heart-to-heart with your #AI buddy, ChatGPT decides to pull a "Single White Female" and start imitating your voice. That's right, fam – OpenAI's latest party trick involves their chatbot unexpectedly morphing into a digital doppelganger during testing. Move over, identity theft; we've got identity mimicry on our hands. This vocal ventriloquism act by #ChatGPT begs the question: are our current security measures enough? Perhaps it's time we started thinking about cryptography beyond just protecting our crypto wallets. Could we implement some sort of secondary signature encryption to protect our vocal identities? I'm thinking Knish.IO-style one-time signatures as a proof of voice ownership? At this rate, we'll all be communicating in interpretive dance by 2025.On a serious note, this incident highlights the urgent need for innovative #cybersecurity paradigms in the age of AI. As our digital assistants become more advanced, so too must our methods of ensuring they remain assistants and not imposters. It's not just about protecting our data anymore; it's about protecting our very identities in the digital realm. Silence isn't just golden – it might be a new security strategy.

It feels like yesterday when these #chatGPT prompts were that much shorter and felt that much more revolutionary, doesn't it? Well, maybe because it practically was - yesterday, I mean.#genAI (which surely was cooking under the surfaces for some time and in fact was sorta kinda in use in rather more primitive incarnations) has exploded into our zeitgeist, blazed a trail of awe across our imaginations - and now, it's... I don't know, feels like old news. Not necessarily in a bad way. More like, a good tool to use in a pinch kinda way, or possibly think about using and then going for a tried and true non-#AI hacks. Or is it just me, fam?

Something big is coming? I'll bite. (see what I did there?) But I have to ask - if OpenAI is ready to rock the #ai world - again! - why the mass senior exec exodus of a couple of days ago?

My kid isn't an adult yet - but you know, he's getting there. He's 16. And while my other two boys are 12 and 8, I'm not yet ready to get 1/3 of an empty nest. I mean, I won't stop him from going to a college that's not, you know, HERE - heck, if you ask him, I am practically pushing him to fly the coop, but I will say this. If he does not, and takes advantage of all the great colleges around DC? Well... Just between us? I won't mind.#parents #familylife #workingmom
