Such a common thing we hear that can often be mitigated, or at least supported, naturally. Thanks Dr. Katie Woodley, Veterinarian 🙏

🌿 You Can't Feed a Stressed Pet Back to Health 🌿Did you know that your pet's emotional well-being is just as crucial as their physical health? 🐾When our pets are stressed, it can take a toll on their digestive system, creating a vicious cycle of poor gut health and even more stress. This is known as the gut-brain axis connection. 🧠❤️Stress can lead to imbalances in the gut microbiome, causing issues like chronic diarrhea, vomiting, and skin problems. Simply feeding a high-quality diet isn't enough if your pet is struggling with anxiety or emotional stress. 🌟That's why at The Natural Pet Doctor, we emphasize the importance of addressing emotional health alongside nutrition and physical care. Our Healthy Holistic Pet for Life Blueprint program is designed to uncover and heal the root causes of your pet’s health issues through a holistic approach, including stress management and emotional well-being. 🌈✨Take the first step towards a happier, healthier pet by focusing on their emotional health. Remember, a calm mind leads to a healthy gut, and a healthy gut leads to a thriving pet! 🐶🐱Drop a ❤️ if you agree that emotional health matters for our pets!

Yesterday I smashed a goal and improved from my past self self from 10 years ago! 10 years ago I ran my first 1/2 marathon in Steamboat Springs and didn’t enjoy it and said I’d never do it again. Well, here we are 10 years later and for the past 6 months, I’ve been training and dedicating myself to getting ready for today. I cut out alcohol and committed to the year (but will most likely continue indefinitely), made myself #1, been working on my mindset and committed to another 1/2 marathon. And as a side effect, even lost 20 pounds I didn’t think I had to lose! Yesterday I beat my goal of beating 2 hours by 5 minutes (and beat my time when I was 10 years younger), and although it was hard, I can see the improvements and changes in how I view a challenge from where I was 10 years ago. I pushed through and kept going, even when my head told me to stop.I’ve learned so much and can see where I can grow and improve for when I come back next year and run it even faster. And the best part, I’m so excited!Being 40 years old doesn’t have to be the decline everyone told me it would be. Let’s go! And as @davidgoggins puts it (and was in my head pushing me forward through the challenging moments) - Stay Hard! Why is this related to pet health? Because your journey is often times composed of many ups and downs and hard times. You are strong enough to be the light for your pets and to push through. People will doubt you. They will judge you. But when you go back to your why and stay true to what you know is best for you and your pets, that is where the magic unfolds and you can withstand those difficult times. Commit to being different from the crowd and know your truth. Find your people! I’m cheering you on!❤️

Did you know there's a common tea in your cabinet that may help your pet's allergies? You know when your dog starts scratching, licking and chewing, because it's most likely keeping you up at night. You hear that lick, lick, lick or scratch, lick, scratch, and it's driving you both nuts! There are many causes for the excessive licking, chewing and scratching, so we always recommend getting checked out by your veterinarian.Common reasons for excessive itching include environmental causes from pollens, grasses, dust mites, food sensitivities, parasites like fleas and mites, and even certain disease conditions, like liver disease.Rather than just reaching for the benadryl though, why not try natural remedies that you can use to help your pet find some relief from all of the itching, while you are working out what they are sensitive to and why.Did you know you can use certain herbal teas in your pet's food as natural remedies? We recommend brewing a cup of decaffeinated green tea (remove the tea bag), and pour it into the food every day once it's cool.A 2002 study in American Chemical Society, showcased how the most abundant and biologically active compound in tea, EGCG, blocks a key receptor involved in producing an allergic response in the body.Because of this effect, green tea can be more effective than Zyrtec over the long term in helping to control allergy symptoms.Of course, you always want to find the root cause of the disease, so you can fix that and remove the itchiness for good.We love treating allergies and helping those pets feel their best again! If you want to learn more about the root causes that are commonly missed that can lead to frustrating itchiness in your pets, make sure to register for our FREE Heal Your Pet's Gut Health Naturally on Tuesday, May 28th at 6pm MST. Grab your FREE seat here: https://lnkd.in/gs3mj-B2
